King George is just trying to do all sorts of crap on his way out the door. Not the least of which s change the law to allow loaded, concealed weapons in National Parks. The current law allows weapons to be carried within and through National Parks - as long as they are unloaded and rendered unusable (in a locked case in the trunk or similar). But now Dirk and George and all the other idiots want to change it.
Why?! Why?! Why?!
The new rules have been drafted, and are now going through the public comment period.
I could give numerous reasons why the new rules are bad - increased danger to visitors, increased danger to wildlife, among others, but I think the most telling item: every NPS group - current employees, retired employees, current law enforcement rangers, etc. - every group - is against the new rules.
To make your voice heard: go to www.regulations.gov and search for ID # 1024-AD70. It's a little tedious to find, but hey, it's the federal government.
